Very good sushi, decent prices when choosing from the sashimi combo bowls. $21 to fill myself properly. Good variety of cuts, little bit of everything. My companion ordered off the individual paper menu, got nearly 2x what I did, but his total was 3x as much. $7 for a hand roll? I'm used to paying 1.50 - 3.00 @ Ichiban in downtown PDX for roughly the same quality. Still, happy w/ my visit. Didn't notice the seared Hamachi collar special until I was nearly done, bet that woulda been great @ $17 w/ salad + miso.
MoreDon't judge a book by it's cover. Tucked away in this little strip mall, Toshi is a gem!
MoreAlways packed for good reason. Sashimi is a little pricey but always high quality, plus a ton of authentic Japanese dishes to choose from in addition the the sushi. Staff is very friendly, just wish they had a wider range of available hours they were open.
MoreToshi's is the go to place for good sushi for miles around. You will find Toshi himself behind the bar making the sushi and sashimi dishes. The seating area is small, but the service has never disappointed me. Expect to wait when they are busy. Quality takes time.
MoreToshi has the highest quality sushi grade fish in the area. It is a small authentic Japanese restaurant. With good Quality fish. The chef gives you generously sized cuts of meat. I absolutely love going to Toshi.
MoreFord was well prepared and presented well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. When we went there, they were busy. But they took time to come and check on us to see if we needed anything. Thank you and we will be back again.
MoreGreat hole in the wall in the best sense. The service was quick and kind. My Saba (shio) was delicious. Will come again when I am in the area.
MoreGreat fresh, real food. Best service I have had in a long time. Small but extremely clean. Can't wait to come back.
MoreConsistently some of the best sushi available on the west side. Beautiful presentation, exceptionally fresh and generous cuts. The rainbow role is a mountainous work of art!
MoreBest sushi in Beaverton. It's a little hole in the wall, but oh so good! Shhhh. Please don't tell.
MoreAlways enjoy this little place. Don't let it being in a strip mall discourage you
MoreSmall restaurant with about ten to twelve tables. Went for the spouse's birthday, and or for year old suddenly songs happy birthday. The whole restaurant applauded her. The food is great, the sushi a tad more pricy then others in the area, but what you get here is much higher quality. Everything is both in English and in Japanese, so it feels very authentic. The service is great and they know their menu well.
MoreHands down the best sushi place I have been to so far. Very authentic. A rare gem.
MoreExtremely tasty, hole in the wall sushi restaurant! Might be a wait during lunch. The tempura, noodles, and donburi are also prepared to perfection.
MoreBest authentic Japanese food in the area! Make a reservation for a party larger than 4, but worth the wait otherwise! Don't forget dessert; best green tea ice cream I've ever had and have gotten take out just for that before.
MoreWell definitely a wonderful place to get traditional sushi, it is very busy a lot of the time, so expect to be crowded and have your conversation pushed in by strangers. I would definitely recommend this place more if it had a larger floor seating, as someone who has audio processing problems, it is definitely difficult for me to understand when I am talking to someone else during dinner. However, excellent food, good service, definitely read up on what you should do in a Japanese restaurant before going in.
MoreAmazing and authentic! The food here was the bomb and I will definitely going back again. The staff was friendly and quick and the food was delicious! 5 billion stars for this place if Google let me!
MoreHigh quality sushi in an extremely small place. Get there early for lunch, their 10 or so tables fill up fast. My favorite sushi in the area.
MoreLove their ramen, their sushi rolls are great. Love that they have Japanese classics like agedashi and croquettes.
MoreThe sushi was all right but nothing too impressive. The tempura that came with it was good and was fried just right. The seating area was a bit small and sometimes felt a bit too close to other tables. The tabletops had a plastic cover which was kind of weird but perfectly understandable with regards to cleanup.
MoreSome of the best sushi I've had in a while. Certainly the best for the price.
The sushi is so fresh. Great service. Reasonable prices..
Good sushi and close to home but the experience can leave me very frustrated nearly every time! They charged me automatically 20% if the California roll for adding these tiny slices of cucumber and when I told them that is how much two WHOLE cucumbers costs, they shrugged their shoulders at me; not to mention they thought I wouldn't notice how the chef literally put a literal speck of avocado in the roll just to pass off. The wait is long and even after being seated, a server almost never comes to take the order they always say so surprised that i was even seated... it really bothers me how unorganized and informal they are with all their customers. So the time and cost spent here is about double for fresh sushi, I'll be taking my friend elsewhere.
MoreWe drove here from Portland downtown because one of my friend recommended this place like crazy. Even though I had go-to favorite sushi spot nearby, we thought we will give this place a try. When we got here, the place was packed. I could see that this place was a hype. The menu was fun and seemed authentic. I asked if Ramen was made with homemade broth and waitress said it is. So we ordered a small plate of sushi, a bowl of richest broth Ramen and a glass of beer. I wouldn't say they lie.. but Ramen tasted NOTHING like homemade broth... It tasted like 4.99 Frozen Ramen :(/The service was soso. They forgot my beer so I had to reorder after food came out.. We set in front of sushi man but not even one eye contact :(.Overall, I would say sushi was fine.. but I know so many other places where I can get better quality, price and service sushi restaurants near me.
MoreGreat ambiance. Friendly attentive staff. Tasty food.
Clean, not fancy, small place but the food is realy goog. Probably best Japanese restaurant in Beaverton/Hillsboro area.
MoreThis place never fails to deliver. They serve fresh dishes for convenient rates, there is no waiting time even when the place is loaded.
MoreOn a weekday, got here before 11:30 and there were a few bar seats available By 12:15 or so, this restaurant is almost full
MoreGood selection and fresh fish. Prices could be slightly lower. Usually a busy place so you may need to wait 5-10min to get seated during peak times.
MoreSmall restaurant with good ramen, and their sushi rolls are pretty good too. This is one of my regular go to's for ramen in the area. The broth is wonderfully hearty and always hits the spot.
MoreAlways amazingly yummy food no matter what I order!
Awesome food, friendly employees, always awesome character. They charge reasonable prices and the food quality is good. I recommend this place.
MoreGreat food at a great value. Ma&Pop sushi joint gets busy fast, ensure to get there early.
MorePhenomenal service. Spectacular and exquisite cuisine. Simply put Toshi knows what he's doing.
MoreGreat little Japanese place on 185th, great food excellent service, can be packed at times
MoreShushi is great and they also serve food nicely :)
A solid option with quality food. A bit on a pricey side compared to comparable Japanese establishments nearby.
MoreThis is my favorite sushi restaurant outside of Portland. Great service and high quality nigiri
MorePleasant little place with pleasant background music.
Chirashi Deluxe is the best bang for your buck, all types of quality fish.Nigiri is awesome, best Sushi in town, hands down.
MoreQuality sushi, attentive staff. Lighting could be better
Good service, nice presentation, good food.
My absolute favorite place for Japanese food. Seating is limited and intentionally so. The sushi is made by the Japanese man behind the counter and it's the real deal. I'm doing myself a disservice by publically declaring this place as one of my favorites.
MoreSo much good food! We really enjoyed. Very family friendly! Get there early it's always packed!
MoreSeriously the best Japanese restaurant! The sushi is top quality and all of the other dishes I have ever had are amazing as well! Good service and always packed. When I have sushi at other sit down places I honestly think I could have had toshi's and it would have been better.
MoreAmazingly consistent. Been going for nearly 13 years and it's still as good of Japanese food as before
MoreWhen me and my husband got back from a year in Okinawa we tried quite a few restaurants and Toshi's has been the best, great food and great service!
MoreGood food but a little on the pricey side.
Been coming here for many, many years. Moved out of the area in 2015 and had to visit when we were in town recently. The food was as good as we remembered. Excellent, if pretty straightforward, sushi and other Japanese dishes. We tried an assortment of sushi and Saba Shio (grilled fish) with tempura appetizer. No alcohol or other drinks. Price for two with tip around $85. Not cheap, for sure. But quality is very high. Service was good, though it was not busy (having arrived at 8pm and the place was slowing down.) Highly recommend this local place. Go if you're in the mood for sushi and want high quality and satisfying food.
MoreA small shop wedged between who knows what, who knows where, but who knew?!? This place is awesome! Pretty authentic, inexpensive and very tasty, highly recommended!
